December!

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

I thought I had better break up the post as it was going on for ages!

A few friends were in the Jacob’s Well production of Narnia, which was most impressive!

The craft fair happened and made me feel Christmassy!

Not many days are allowed to pass in December without a tree!

I always know when work is getting stressful, as my doodles become more prolific!

Bob (from 2 doors down!) came to visit the studio

Claire and I met Sophie Kinsella (Madeline Wickham) at Waterstones

A trip to London turned up some amusing sights such as this poor man who clearly wasn’t “lovin’ it”!

Hyde Park had a brilliant Winter Wonderland. With an hour to kill before our meeting round the corner, it would have been rude not to pop in…..

Christmassy!

Finally got to our meeting at the Goring. Not too shabby!

The Selfridge’s Christmas entrance

We entered Pink Sky for Young Business of the Year in the Women in Business Awards for 2011

Monty decided that wrapping presents was pretty boring.

Amy S and I went to see a very excited little Ollie at his special school. He had done a Christmas production and they had drinks for the grown ups afterwards.

“Mummy and Naymie see.. OLLIE!”

Then the snow came… Wow! It was so beautiful!!

Buried car!

Nativity

My favourite park

Christmas boots!

Grandma thought it would be a good idea to wear the tea cosy that Aunty Julie had knitted for her. She is also the queen of the “most hilarious present” contest, which is held every year.  This year, my cousin and I are joint winners with:

This piece of ’boutique chic’, a 1969 ‘cologne’ from Avon!!!!  (This was my entry, seriously, you should smell it!!)

My cousin’s entry (and she possibly gets the prize this year) which is the People’s Friend tea towel calendar for 2011!!

Twinkle LOVED Christmas day

I have been poorly all Christmas with a really bad chest infection and, as a consequence, poor Rufus has also been poorly

I missed out on Christmas no.3 with JT’s brother, sister and niece, but they did send me these lovely Cath Kidston sewing bits which I love!

Lego soap bricks in my stocking! How cool??

My present from my parents was this lovely Paul Jenkins hare.  I saw a tiny one in a gallery ages ago and loved it. Unfortunately they are becoming really popular now but I still love them!

Just before Christmas this was how I was getting to work! I even went to a meeting, pulled by Mark on the sledge, much to the amusement of the client who, unfortunately was looking out of the window as we made our clumsy approach!

A sketch from a childhood favourite book… “Not Now Bernard” – I doodled it whilst on the phone on a particularly sticky call!!

What’s occurrin’?

There has been such a gap in my blogging that I thought I would update you with two months in pictures!!

I will start with October…

Charlie had her 10th birthday which she celebrated with true style (dressed as a pirate and a nurse!) at Play Farm. Great fun.

Whilst I don’t celebrate halloween, I was suitably impressed with Pepper Crescent’s “Spooky Drink” selection!!

My friend Tim and I shared a cake, very fairly indeed I thought.

I met my cousin in London before her big move to Australia and found the dolls house that dreams are made of in Harrods!

Amy T and I went for a spa day to celebrate her birthday. Very relaxing!!

We had one break in and two further attempts at the office. All very tedious!

NOVEMBER:

November starts with a very relaxed cat!

I drink possibly the biggest and best hot chocolate in the world at Costa! I don’t think I finished it….

Claire’s friend Helen came to visit so we all went for a Kashmir curry. The staff decided to show us their drum!

I started to produce a series of prints for an upcoming craft fair in December

I knocked up a quick ‘Turner special’ for my friend Lindsay for Christmas

Inside the drawers

Epic labelling FAIL by Waitrose. Green poo anyone?

We ran a Cath Kidston 50′s Christmas craft night at the studio, which was brilliant.

The next day we launched the balloons from the craft night to see if we would get a response. Sadly we didn’t…

More craft fair preparations…

I customised my sewing box, covering it in new fabric and embellishments.

We had a HOE DOWN at church, with a hog roast, bucking bronco, dancing etc. Great fun!

YeeeeeeHAAAAA!

The weather started to get colder, measured by how pink Monty’s nose is!

I tried to master these few bars.. But couldn’t!

Christmas present!

My Granny sent me some money for Christmas the other day and I knew exactly what I wanted.

Everything about this little design is beautiful right through from the concept to the packaging.  The bird is a keyring and a whistle. You hang the little box on the wall and hang your keys in it when you get home! I love them!!

I am back!

After a nearly two month break, I have resolved my password/login issues and am now able to write again!  Sorry for the delay….
