I have been quiet for a few days.  This is because an awful lot has been occurring.  We are faced with the prospect of moving for the 5th time in 4 years as our landlady has decided not only to put up our rent, but also to sell our house!  This came as a slight surprise, having decorated, whilst she merrily invested nothing in the property.  It is really hard, when somewhere starts to feel like home, to have to move out of it and start again.  It is also hard when you are prone to a bit of the old anxiety/stress-related IBS, to make somewhere feel like a safe place.

All this came, after the news that we would not be able to buy the house we were hoping to buy on a government scheme (our only hope of buying for a long time really) because the scheme had run out of cash and there wouldn’t be any more allocated to it.

So I am feeling pretty down really.  I have no motivation to look for a new place and I really don’t want to go through all of the upheaval again for a 5th place that is not ours, which we could get kicked out of again.

Still, there are positives.  We have a home (at the moment).  You place a lot less value on possessions when you have moved them around so many times.  What really matters in life, are the people who surround you, not the walls and smelly carpets!!
