What lies ahead?

An interesting question, to which, technically, we don’t know the answer… Here are some plans that I have for September. Lord, please take them and do what you will.
About this time last year I was praying about my future. I was also about to get married and, after doing a few sums and realising that something had to change, my boss suggested that I consider leaving my job to go and get a better one. As it happened, JT ended up being offered a job back at Toyota, so he, very sacrificially, left instead.
I wanted to pursue my interest in Graphic Design and had three ideas, all of which I laid before the Lord. I said “whichever is right, may it happen.” One came back as a “not yet”, one almost happened but fell through at the last minute and then, unexpectedly I got into uni to study Graphic Design here in Cheltenham.
I had applied a couple of years previously and the interview was awful! Needless to say I didn’t get in, because they wanted the art foundation course which I don’t have. However this year the interview was completely different and I was offered a place without the art foundation course. I have accepted the place and intend to start in September.
It will be emotional to leave my job at Trinity where there are some truly amazing people who have been particularly supportive in this last year. I am looking forward to starting a new challenge, but very nervous also due to my IBS being such a hinderance. So far the uni have been great and registered me as a disabled student (!!) I am praying though because I believe that God can heal me if He chooses to.
My biggest hope/prayer is that JT will be offered a fantastic job somewhere as he does not enjoy his current one. he was about to go freelance as a sound engineer/techbod but was then offered a better job at Toyota, which he accepted for financial security. Immediately after he was offered a week’s work in Barcelona (well paid!) I am absolutely gutted for him. Please do pray for him, I would hate him to have to work for Toyota for the duration of my degree, I’d sooner not do it!
So yes, as it stands, I leave paid work at Trinity on 31st August and start uni on 15th!
JP – THE LEGEND!

Last Saturday saw the launch of the first ever MUD Festival at Trinity Church. We had a graffiti wall, dance venue, jazz tent, prayer room, workshops, open mic, circus skills battle of the bands, you name it! It was a fantastic day and the Path itself was launched by BBC 1′s Strictly Dance Fever semi-finalist JP Omari! JP has been a friend of mine for three years and is probably the best dancer I know. Check out a few of his moves at the bottom – the show got even better as it went on and he finished to 8 pyros going up behind him. Well done mate and all the best with your auditions!
The Path was capped with a gig by Replenish.
Ladies and gentlemen… JP… The boy who could fly!
The fearless, the gorgeous… J…TTTTT!!!!

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce my gorgeous and darling husband JT. Not only is he stunning, but he is also frighteningly clever, exceptionally kind and caring and, as you will see from this picture, FEARLESS! JT, superhero. I am not allowed to reveal the true translation of “JT”, so I will tell you the name meanings:
J = a Hebrew name that means “God gave”
C (the secret initial!) = A Greek name that means “Christ-bearer”
T = An English profession based name that means “One who uses a lathe”…?! Curious!
Here he is DUM DUM DUMMMMMMM Watch out world! – xxxxxxxx

They both looked absolutely gorgeous and the weather was ideal. Congratulations guys!

I am a late starter to this blogging lark as I didn’t really think that anyone would be interested in the inner working of my head! But still, if you are, then welcome – I hope it is a friendly place! My name is Naomi Turner (Nai T, married to the gorgeous JT) and I am 21 years old. I currently work for Trinity Church in Cheltenham but am about to go and study Graphic Design at Uni.
